TopSide Marinas, a family-owned company that acquires and operates high-quality marinas around the country, announced the acquisition of Pikes Bay Marina, a premier full-service marina located at 84190 Pikes Bay Road on the shores of the world’s largest lake, Lake Superior in Bayfield.
Founded in 2001 and based in the heart of the Apostle Islands, Pikes Bay Marina is recognized as one of the finest destinations in the Great Lakes region. Named Marina of the Year in 2018, the marina features more than 200 wet slips with sizes ranging from 30 to 60 feet and side ties up to 90 feet. The facility also includes heated indoor storage, outdoor storage, a marine service center, a ship store, fuel dock, clubhouse, and wide floating docks designed for easy boarding and safe navigation. TopSide Marinas plans to increase the original equipment manufacturers (OEMS) they will be servicing along with adding more technicians, acquiring stronger equipment to better service all types of boats, including larger ones, and offering winter service to snow mobiles and tractors.

Visitors to Pikes Bay Marina are wowed by the crystal-clear waters, historic lighthouse tours, sunken wrecks for diving, sandy beaches, and cruising sunsets. The Lake Superior area offers dramatic natural features like rocky shorelines, cliffs, forested islands, and long stretches of undeveloped shoreline in addition to the topography of the Islands which provide a wide variety of outdoor recreation such as hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, and camping.
